Richard has been working in glass for over nineteen years, starting at Pilchuck in 1986. Through the years he continu ed his studies in California and Tennessee. Working from his family’s studio in Kirkland over the past ten years, Richard has contribut ed to the team of glass blowers, “The Glass Kingdom”.

In addition to his glassblowing expertise, Richard is experienc ed in other aspects of the m edium. Cold working, beveling, neon, and lampworking are some of the skills that he combines in his work.

Richard’s technical skills in glass give him the ability to make nearly anything. Tell him what you want; the shape, the dimensions and the color(s), he will make it to perfection.

Richard enjoys making shapes that fuse form and function. His favorites include:
